Cow-pie’ mushrooms spell trouble for Va. teen

CULPEPER, Va. (AP) - A Virginia teenager is being held in juvenile detention after telling police he was getting high on mushrooms collected from ``cow-pies’’ in pastures.
Culpeper police say they found the 17-year-old after getting a call that a teenage boy was using profanities, making threats and pulling on an 18-year-old woman’s leg.
Police say the teenager agreed to a search of his car, where they found a lunch box that contained mushrooms, scales, plastic bags, a cigar and cash.
The youth’s name was withheld because of his age. He has been charged with possession of illegal substances with the intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
